Over the last few weeks I’ve been watching waay too much of the tv show Mad Men (about ad execs in the 60′s), so much so that I’ve started talking like them (hence the title of this post). Check it out, tis brilliant! If your parents were kids of the 60′s, you’ll kind of understand why they are .. they way they are.
Speaking of parents, my mum – bless her – works in an office. And, like many people who work in offices, it can get to be a tad monotonous. Indeed you may find that your mind starts-a-wanderin’ off on various tangents whilst in meetings, on the phone, etc.
But this isn’t the 60′s anymore, you can’t drink nor smoke your way out of the tedium. However, if you happen to have pen in hand at these moments, the work scribble is born. There’s nothing quite like it, as the pointer sisters would say – it’s totally automatic! A stream of absurdity.
So, knowing my mum is an avid scribbler, I told her to send me her work doodles. A bit of cut ‘n paste here n there, zippity-zap – this is the r-r-r-remix!
Work scribble art .. a thing like that.
